Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ClipCaster (the "App"), a desktop application made by Green Bread Enterprises LLC ("Green Bread", "we", "us"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The App
ClipCaster helps you prepare short-form video clips and post them to third-party platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and X, using those platforms' official APIs. The App runs on your own computer. How it handles data is described in the ClipCaster Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) and old enough to form a binding contract, and you must meet the age and eligibility requirements of every platform you connect.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, Green Bread grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App. You may not sell, sublicense or redistribute the App, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, or use it to build a competing product.
4. Your accounts on third-party platforms
- You connect your own accounts through each platform's official sign-in and consent screens. You are responsible for keeping your devices, developer-app keys and tokens secure.
- Your use of each platform remains subject to that platform's own terms, including the YouTube Terms of Service, TikTok Terms of Service, Instagram Terms of Use and X Terms of Service, and their community guidelines and developer policies.
- Platforms may change their APIs, limits, review requirements or prices, or suspend access, at any time. Some features (for example TikTok direct posting) may be unavailable until a platform approves them. Green Bread is not responsible for platform changes or decisions.
- Some platforms charge for API use. For example, X bills per post. Any such charges are between you and the platform. The App shows estimates where it can and asks for confirmation before posting.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to the content you create and post. Green Bread claims no ownership of it and, because the App runs locally, never receives it. You are solely responsible for what you post. You confirm that you have the rights to post it, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law or platform rule.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App to:
- post spam, or automate posting in ways that violate a platform's rules;
- post content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, harassing or harmful;
- access accounts you do not own or are not authorized to manage;
- interfere with, overload or circumvent the security or limits of any platform.
7. Confirmation before actions
The App is designed so that nothing is posted without your confirmation. Once you confirm, the post is sent to the platform and is governed by that platform. Removing it must be done on the platform.
8. Updates and availability
ClipCaster is under active development. We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop offering the App. We are not obligated to provide support or updates.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT A POST WILL SUCCEED, OR THAT A SPEC CHECK MEANS A PLATFORM WILL ACCEPT A CLIP. Keep your own copies of your videos.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GREEN BREAD AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, AUDIENCE OR GOODWILL, OR FOR ACTIONS TAKEN BY THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US $50.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Green Bread harmless from claims arising from your content, your use of the App, or your violation of these Terms or any platform's terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and deleting its data folder. We may end your license if you breach these Terms. Sections 5 and 9 through 14 survive termination.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Green Bread Enterprises LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in that state have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your country requires otherwise.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date. If you keep using the App after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
